On February 4th, our chorus, led by Mrs. Massey, performed at the Orlando Magic basketball game. The chorus performed a number of selections for fans as they arrived at the game. Mrs. Massey hopes to make this an annual event for our chorus members as everyone had a really enjoyable experience!

Rachel’s Challenge made quite an impact on the students and staff of Discovery Academy. Rachel’s Challenge is a training program that was birthed out of the Columbine High School tragedy in 1999. Rachel Scott, the first student to be murdered, was a remarkable young lady who believed her life would have an impact on the world.

Pasta for Pennies, to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is in full swing! Discovery Academy has two exciting new additions to our Pasta for Pennies campaign this year: Soak the Ship and Best Seat in the House. Olive Garden’s Pasta for Pennies supports the fight against blood-related cancers, helps fund important research initiatives and aims to improve the quality of life for many patients and their families.

The Discovery Academy Robotics Team named the "Digital Dragons" consisted of Judah Grooms, Alisha Hunt, Megan Cubert, Makayla Steiner, Jessica Morgan, and Daniel Burrage. Our robotics team took home the “Power Wars: Supreme Chancellor’s Award” which was 1st place in the competition. The Discovery Academy Robotics Team is sponsored and advised by Mr. Yale and Mr. Buchanan.
